Meet BuffMother! Jenn from NJ!

I have been so lucky and so inspired by Jenn. She is one of the hardest working self motivated ladies I have ever met. When she joined our yahoo group in September she was frustrated. She had been running hard for years and was never able to attain the beautiful body she desired. Through BuffMother! she found the insight and inspiration she needed to start weight training and Wow! She got healthy, happier and buffer almost instantly!! I have been constantly impressed by this lady. She is one of the most talented athletes I have trained, but the weird thing about it is that she hasn’t really ever competed. I have a feeling that may change this summer. The pictures below show her current beauty and one of the coolest 9 months pregnant pictures ever!

Jenn’s experience with BuffMother in her own words:

One week into her Customized BuffMother! program… I've been on Michelle's program exactly one week tomorrow. I can't even begin to tell you all how great I feel. I feel so much stronger and energetic. My nails are the longest and strongest I think they have ever been. I cannot wait to see what the next three weeks hold in store for me. I hope it's not all in my head but I *think* I noticed my stomach is starting to take on that real six pack look. I could see the beginning of a real wash board tummy yesterday. Also my legs are getting super strong. I am so excited! Michelle B. you rock girl!

Her overall experience…

Michelle’s fitness program is the best I’ve ever done. I’ve been running and weight training since my teens and will soon be 35. Michelle’s program gave me the best results I’ve ever seen in such a short period of time. I was very fit before starting Michelle’s program and was a little skeptical about whether or not I would see that big of a difference. Well, I did! I saw a huge difference in my energy levels and strength.

Thanks to Michelle, I have a new love for weight training! And most important of all I learned that it is NOT all about cardio and that there is no need to run for 2 hours a day to get the body I want. Thank you Michelle!!! - Jenn

A little about Jenn:

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. I lived there for 29 years. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia and lived there almost a year before moving to New Jersey to marry my wonderful husband, Greg. We are hoping to relocated to Austin, Texas in the near future.

What type of work background do you have? I started out as a waitress when I got out of high school and did that for about 3 years. I eventually got a job a very small law firm as a receptionist. After a little time doing that my boss saw what a hard worker I was and offered to send me to school to become a legal secretary. I, of course, accepted. I was a legal secretary for 12 years. I ended up at a very large, well known law firm in the Alabama. I worked at this firm about 4 years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. In Georgia I got a fantastic job working at another law firm. I eventually left the firm to move so I could be with my husband, Greg. We were dating long distance at the time and boy was that expensive and tough! I moved to New Jersey and got married. I am now a stay at home mom to my two beautiful girls, Alyssa age 4 and Emma age 2.

When did you first decide to get BUFF? I've always been fit and very active. However, I have always been more of a cardio person. I found BuffMother! in the Summer of 2005 and decided to give serious weight training a shot. I had been running hard for years and I still wasn't happy with my body. Sure I was fit, but I still wasn't truly happy with the way I looked. I needed some muscle. All those years of running were finally taking a toll on my body. I was looking old, tired and I didn't have the energy I needed to take care of my two young children.

Do you workout at home or the gym or both? Both

Are you married, if so for how long? 5 years

Do you think you may have any more children? Most likely no.

Do you have a workout partner? No. I like to workout alone.

How would you describe your personality? Very self motivated.

What are your hobbies/interests? Running, lifting, playing with my kiddos.

Favorites

Favorite body part to work: Shoulders

Favorite vacation: The Bahamas!! Gosh, I love that place. It was my very first tropical vacation.

Favorite thing to do on a date: Dinner.

Favorite food: Mexican!

Favorite Dessert: Boy this is hard. I am a recovering sugar addict. I suppose it would be cheesecake.

Favorite movie: Don't really have a favorite. However, I really love a good comedy.

Favorite shoes: My Asics Gel Nimbus running shoes

Favorite Workout wear: Sports Bra and Brooks running pants

Favorite Sports Team: Don't really have one.

Favorite diet food: Egg white omelet filled with veggies.

Favorite music: I like a little of everything.

Favorite Nutritional Supplements, why: Whey Protein because it's a quick and easy source of protein. Glucosamine to protect my joints. Flaxseed because it's got lots antioxidants and Omega 3's because they are good for cardiovascular health.

Favorite Interval/Cardio Work out, why: Running Intervals, it is fast and very effective

Favorite Exercise, why: Sprints and long runs. Sprints because they make me feel strong. Long runs because I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I am done and the endorphins are flowing!
