J’nea’s thoughts on Hormonal Timing by BuffMother!:
  

J’nea’s story and work ethic blows me away! She has been a member of the Team BuffMother Rally Room since we opened in March of 2006. I vividly remember the day I found out she had 2 sets of twins. I was full of compassion for her and I was instantly addicted to reading her blog! After all, we had a lot in common 4 kids, twins and the fact that we both love to lift weights. To this day, I am still amazed by J’nea. I love that she never complains or makes excuses about getting her work or workout done, she always manages to put a silly spin on the chaos of her life and she always has time to help or encourage a friend.  She is a true BuffMother! I am so proud to call her my friend!

BuffMother! taught me about hormonal timing.  It is the best weight loss solution of all time!  I started to track my cycle.  Knowing what cycle day you are on helps you get through those tough days of wanting carbs and treats and helps you figure out why you may be lacking the energy to get through your work out.  Days 5 to 20 were the days that I had the least amount of carb cravings and felt as though I could conquer the world. Michelle calls this phase “buffing”.  Actually on day 3 is when I really felt good and had a ton of energy.  I didn’t want to eat carbs and had total motivation to get buff like Michelle.  I did cardio like a mad woman and really focused on doing circuit type weight workouts to get my heart rate up.  The workouts were tougher for me during these two weeks but it is also when I felt I could get through them the easiest.  Once I hit day 17, I noticed I really started lacking motivation for my workouts and for my eats.  I just wanted to eat what I wanted to eat. I did sometimes too.  I cheated a lot actually.  I was so happy when day 20 or 21 came and I was allowed to have extra carbs and a treat every day for the next two weeks.  I got to once again focus on my lifting, which is my favorite.  I feel so strong now and have rebuilt my youthful muscle.  I loved “hormonal timing” and how you get to switch up your routine every two weeks.   Workouts never become stale.  One day I was feeling really lazy, it was day 11 of my cycle.  I started getting some really weird ideas about lifting and started thinking about packing it in.  I was tired of lifting weights and I had just had enough of watching what I ate.  Well the next day I woke up and was all excited about going to do my leg work out.  It was just hormones messing with my brain.  I realized that I was ovulating.  Women are so complex.   

The buffing and boosting supplements are amazing. I am certain that taking these supplements has made me escape all the sickness in my house.  While I was taking these supplements, every person in my house got sick. I had to take two of my children to Emergency because they became so ill.  My hubby has been sick with fever and diarrhea for a whole week now.  Another person in my house got a lung infection and came down with pneumonia.  There are ten people in my house including me and I was the only one that did not get sick at all.   I will continue to take them religiously!
